Janelle Borders-Denault
Registered Provisional Psychologist

Janelle has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in community and school settings. She believes that meaningful change happens in the context of safe, supportive relationships and uses both therapy and assessment to help clients feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, their environment, and the communities that support them.

Janelle supports children, youth, and adults through individual therapy and psychoeducational assessment services.

Before becoming a provisional psychologist, Janelle was a teacher. She has a strong sense of how learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing show up in real-life environments, and focuses on offering realistic supports.

In addition to her experience in educational settings, Janelle has supported individuals within hospice settings, helping people navigate illness, grief, loss, caregiver burnout, and family complexities during times of transition. She sat vigil with Edmonton’s former No One Dies Alone program.

Janelle values being genuine and down-to-earth in her work. She focuses on building strong, trusting relationships and is flexible in her approach, prioritizing what works best for each client.
