Megan Van de Ligt
Mental Health Therapist

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s journeys with greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding. I enjoy working with children, youth, and adults, and I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported.

I support concerns such as anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, identity exploration, emotional regulation, and relationship challenges.

My approach is grounded in strengths-based and person-centered therapy. I believe each person has inner resilience, even when life feels overwhelming. Together, we explore challenges with curiosity and compassion while building practical, meaningful strategies for change.

With over a decade of experience as a teacher, I bring a strong understanding of child and adolescent development. This allows me to connect naturally with young people and create a safe, engaging environment.

When working with children and teens, I often incorporate games and activities to build rapport and support expression.

I take a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed approach, supporting clients across school, home, and community contexts.

My goal is to create a space filled with compassion, curiosity, and safety—where growth, laughter, and meaningful change are possible.
